#1. The story about FTX and SBF was originally broke by Coindesk.

#2. CZ saw this as an opportunity to dump on FTX. So, he did, and FTX went into bankruptcy.

#3. FTX going into bankruptcy caused Genesis and Grayscale to lose hundreds of millions (possibly billions) in loans to FTX.

#4. Genesis and Grayscale are owned by Digital Currency Group (DCG).

#5. Surprise, DCG also owns Coindesk.

#6. Coindesk is now also in trouble, because DCG owes Genesis over $570M.

#7. Coindesk broke the story about FTX, which will ironically come back around to bite them in the ass.

#8. CZ is now offering over $1B in bailouts to different exchange and lending firms, because if everyone else crashes, he is also ironically fucked.

The ONLY exchanges that are going to be safe are the ones that operate on a strict 1:1 reserve balance and make their money through transaction fees. So, an exchange like Gemini will be safe. Gemini's Earn program will be fucked, unless Genesis gets bailed out, but the main exchange and staking platform is unaffected. I can't speak for Coinbase because I've never used it.

This has just been a really bad streak for me bros... Lost $20k from investing in Russian stocks, and now I might lose about another $3k if my crypto can't be redeemed. My cousin died in a motorcycle accident a few months ago (only 28 years old). My grandma died last month.

My other grandma died. I was in 2 car accidents, one in which I should've died (drunk driver rear ended me going 45 mph, while I was stopped at a light). My mother's apartment flooded (at least she moved in with me). All of the Covid bullshit.

I went from being a crypto critique, to actually studying and understanding utility tokens, and now I'm ironically in it for the tech and not the money.

I bought Filecoin around $50, so I'm way down on that. But, my Bitcoin average is around $16k. Sadly, my Filecoin was in Gemini Earn, I didn't buy a lot, so hopefully it'll be redeemed soon. Once/If I get it back, I'm just going to stake it.
