When I first started at my company I thought I was going insane. Behind every tired interaction I was screaming for help, but no one seemed to hear me. The same old exchanges day after day, just the sheer banality of it all was torturous. Days became weeks, months; it passed by so excruciatingly slow, but looking back, it all melts together because there is nothing to distinguish one uneventful meeting or generic birthday cake from the next. I slowly feel less and less of anything. I wonder, am I becoming one of them? Am I learning to accept my fate as an automaton and enjoy the "little things" as my life fades into oblivion in front of me? But here I thought crypto would set me free. Even if I did escape, is it possible that we are past the point of no return? You look around and realize no one really has a stake in society anymore. No one really cares that we have been collapsing for decades. In fact, they don't see it when the evidence is right in front of their faces. Ignorance is bliss. I want to forget. Just put me back in.
