I currently only have money invested in ETFs but I'm thinking about getting more active in my portfolio management.

I've been looking into the LSE AIM, especially stocks related to precious stones/metals extraction since the factors impacting the valuation of these firms are more limited than in other industries and stock prices are less market-driven. You can also update your DCF model at each announcement related to new reserves discovered, etc.

It's a shame there are no derivatives sold for the AIM, so everything is stock only. Another problem may be that the market is less liquid as market caps are lower.
