because people haven't been paying their mortgages for almost a year.
land lords have been unable to collect rent fro almost a year , IE they cant kick you out if your not paying
when the housing market goes back to normal these land lord will kick all the non paying losers out.
the next land lord is not going to allow someone whith a history of not paying rent, rent from them.
land lords cant pay mortgages so either they are going to take a 2nd mortgage and jack up the rent or sell the house at a loss.
lot of houses will hit the market shortly.
