Of course the exact same thing happens with gold (devalued into essentially nothing over time by Bitcoin). But gold at least goes up in fiat value over time, whereas silver does not. With gold you at least don't lose money faster than holding fiat, like you do by holding silver. Gold doesn't stay the same while inflation exponentially goes up.

Picrel is all you need to know. Gold (and silver) keeps getting devalued into oblivion against Bitcoin. That said though I think everyone should own some gold and if you happen to have a little bit of silver there's nothing wrong with that.
