I too am a nostalgia stacker.

Ahh a much nicer render. Here I thought they had some advanced minting process.

Check. Those are fine specimens!
>They spike up a bit in price if you go earlier.
Yes once you get back to George things spike significantly. You also have numinerd variations in much of the '50's and earlier era dollars. Small vs large beads, strap vs no strap, vanishing water lines, etc.

>Then just started grabbing them when I found them because relative to a generic 1oz (at the time) you could get a little bit more silver. Like they were under half the price of a generic 1oz but you got 60% of a Troy oz.
I also notice the tend to sell for less than generic. Bully for me as I already collect them. If anything it means my stack is low on the three nines stuff.
You used to be able to buy '67 comem mint sets in bulk at a discount. I have probably over 100 dollars face in '67 coins. Trouble with those mint sets is the smaller coins were debased to 500 fine halfway through the year so common thought is they have a chance of being less than the usual 1.11 troy ounces per. According to my sources though, all of the proof mint sets were produced in early '67 and would therefore be 800 fine.

Absolutely based.
I probably have at least as many as that but they're still in the mint set wrapping.
