No Anon, you don't get what I'm asking. I'm asking why the gwei "gas price" is different from the quoted price using that gas price.
In pic related, OP's pic shows that 439 gwei is $15.68. But if I actually try to use 439 gwei in Metamask, it quotes me 158eur/$190.
So I assume making the transaction actually costs me much more than 439 gwei. But in that case, I don't understand what the 439 gwei gas price is actually referring to. Is there some kind of 'base level' fee that would cost 439 gwei, and then any more complicated transaction on top of that adds further costs? Why do I not just enter the full price I want to pay in gwei (which I guess would be 110,000,000)?
