Out of curiosity, i checked the prices of sterling silverware i recently acquired on ebay, but new and sold by the silversmith.
I expected it to be x2 spot or something like that... i was far from expecting those prices.

It's almost x10 spot lol. I checked 2 others tableware silversmiths and prices were in the same range. That's fucking insane the margin they make!
To think i'm buying the exact same items but already used on ebay for less than spot price.. I bought the same spoon in my pic for 35 bux last month ffs!
Bros, definitely NEVER consider buying new silverware and think it will be worth anything more than melt value. Unless you have some kind of antique or special pieces, it might be the worst store of value ever, and definitely a horrible heirloom long-term appreciation wise.
Only buy secondhand silverware if you wanna acquire some.
