That's what the Robinhood Exodus was all about. The volume into GME halted due to the shenanigans around limiting shares on Robinhood mainly. Fidelity has been flooded with new accounts and those accounts took a while to transfer all assets from one brokerage to another.
Robinhood already suffered massive backlash for what they did. Another attempt to block GME's rise would blow the lid off of the manipulation scheme and people would lose faith in the markets.
