is this what you were trying to achieve? also how does this actually make it easier to adapt?
it would really depends on the method, right? if they are engraving it with a cnc you will need a 3d model. if it's flat you could do something with a simply X-Y plotter/vinyl cutter type of cnc. very simple afaik.
but any artist worth his salt could copy it to a blank model for an old school mechanical pantograph, use that to make a die and strike off as many coins as you want.
