Half these people shitting on redditors and normies here, did you REALLY follow the story? Did you understand why people were saying they could name their price even when it shot up from single digits to $300+?

The stock had more shorts than stocks that existed. The whole point was to exploit the hedgefunds who were massively overshorting. And they were WINNING. Hedgefunds lost $80 billion that week, social media were treating retail investors like the devil while trying to make out shortsellers to be heroes and it halted by trading platforms halting trading for retail investors while letting institutional investors do their thing and shake people out.
