>Network effect is all that counts in such a young industry
>Microshits OS was always dirt shit, but 90% of all PCs, private and public run on it
stupid mETH-heads always cherry pick the one industry where network effect mattered

Windows is a terrible comparison,
because operating systems have to be prebuilt into hardware
good luck swapping out an entire OS from tens of millions of units you've already delivered to retail

also, changing your OS is a massive learning curve for users
(on top of also having to buy new hardware)

blockchain is equivalent to search engines, browsers and social media
because changing over = downloading a new app
and you don't have to relearn how to send transactions or manage private keys

on top of that, we already have multi-coin wallets
so people can use Bitcoin, Ethereum and Cardano all from the same app

>first mover advantage is op
>Cardano is just a testnet for Ethereum.
I used to think the same way when I was new
here's why you're wrong:

Ethereum has too much momentum in the direction they're going
to suddenly pivot 180* would be disastrous for them

>Cardano won't have smart contracts before Eth is PoS
you're joking right?
Cardano beat Ethereum to (better) PoS, and that's the hardest part
they've been working on (better) smart contracts in parallel
we will likely see full functionality mid 2021

Ethereum's PoS transition is at least a year away,
don't take my word for it, read what the devs are saying

I can give you 20 examples of first movers collapsing due to their own poor planning,
how many can you name that are still around today?
