I've been trading futures with a trailing stop for a while and I make bank. Of course I manually adjust the stop based on price action and I have a back tested method for exactly when to get back in after my stop is hit. That said, yeah it's beginner shit if you just naively apply it but dude I was talking to was complaining about the results of just taking profit whenever he felt like it and next to that a trailing stop is Soros tier
