Buying (ie renting a house from a bank) makes absolutely no sense in the current year.

You'll make it a lot faster if you rent.

Driving around my city there are for sale signs everywhere.

Sellers think they're entitled to 2020/2021 prices even at double the interest rate, so nobody is buying. The longer sells hold out the more houses come on the market, for the same dwindling pool of buyers.

This is GFC2 and anyone who tells you it's not is lying.

You're flushing money down the drain paying a mortgage when you could rent for far less and invest the difference in better assets
