Hard to borrow stock, with high fees that seem to persist. The ortex ctb average is weighted by shares, meaning they bleed 238% of the stock value per year on short positions. DRS support is immense, even though I and many others haven't. Even if the short interest is ballpark correct, stocks have been known to squeeze as long as there are enough non-broker held positions. And there should be a share dividend coming soon. The designated market maker is Citadel, a firm with multi-billions in open liabilities of "securities sold but not yet purchased" is losing investors and required multiple cash infusions.
It's a good time to be a gme baggie, even if you disregard all those facts, the abnormal price actions on no news indicate there is still something going on.
