>They all are asking way too much for things and I have a job so I can't show up first thing. Is it worth stopping by sales on the last day in case anything if left since they do the discounts then?

Often there are multiple estate sale services that operate in a given area, some are wise to silver and gold and don't let much slip by but good stuff can still go unnoticed, even the pros rarely catch everything. Pay attention to the different companies/services and you may begin to notice which ones are ignorant about PMs and more likely to sell cheap. It depends on the company and length of the sale but often the 2nd day is 1/3 or half off so showing up at opening the 2nd day can definitely be worth it, but by the last day if it's a 3 day sale almost everything good is cleaned out. Good luck fren and be sure to post any nice scores!

>What are your secrets? Estate sales and thrift stores? I can only ever find plated shit

Estate sales are your best bet, but you need to get there at or just before opening. Check www.estatesales.net for sales near you every week. Buying cheapies on eBay is also an option, but you need to know what you're doing.

>I can only hope. Gotta be an early bird.

Yep early birds get most of the shiny worms but you can still find things on the 2nd or 3rd day, I got this ~280g Tiffany sterling plate half off for just $1 at a sale last year, wish I knew about it before the afternoon of the second day because I probably missed some good stuff. That $25 sterling jewelry box had a wood liner but I removed it, weighs 265g and is a nice thick gauge piece very appropriate for holding treasures, every stacker should own something like it. Anyway good luck hunting down some sweet deals, keep that estate sale site bookmarked and check it weekly, I'll be rooting for you and waiting for pictures of your scores!
