I'm a wagie who is probably about to be laid off soon. I haven't gotten any direct indication of it yet, but the writing is on the wall. I have an electrical engineering degree but I mostly just do shit like basic excel data entry and it pays more than actual engineering jobs.

When I get fired, I have enough money saved to invest in training / a degree. Give me your thoughts on what is the best thing to study now to make fat stacks in 4 years when the next cycle is well under way.

I am thinking maybe get an MBA in marketing or finance as I'm sure a lot of new monetary and financial systems will be developed soon that will all need to be marketed / managed. Is this a retarded idea?
