Bizbros, I've done ALOT of interviews. I can tell you that 100% it is a numbers game, and it is, in alot of respects, just like dating. There is an interest level already pre-determined.

Before the recruiter picks up the phone, the decision has already been partially made. If that interest level is low, then you need to have a silver tongue, or display some kind of special skill, or you're just another notch on her calendar to make her look like she's doing her job.

If its higher, then all you need to do is not fuck up, and she will invite you to the next round that actually matters.
