I pay $595 /year for mine. Got 160,000 points for signing up.
Get ridiculous points for work travel. Usually spend around $5k-$6k month on work expenses. PLus I get a critical thinking human on the phone whenever there is a travel problem unlike all the useless pajeets on Kayak, Expedia, hotels.com

Also get free Clear / TSA precheck every year, and $15/month Uber credit. As well as airport lounge access. Also rental car protection and lost /stolen /cracked phone screen protectio for my whole family. Rack up around 200,000 points per year from my company which pays for a sweet vacation for the family.

Wouldnt recommend it for a light traveller, but for business travel its the bomb. Also their fraud protection is industry leading; you just tell any vendor trying to fuck you over "SERVICE NOT RENDERED" on the phone to AMEX and buy buy charge and the vendor is stuck with the bill. Bought some tires online for my car on ebay and the fucker sent me reclaimed/used tires. I said fuck you and he said no returns so I called Amex. Amex charge backed him and the stupid Pajeet is kvetching I won't PAY OUT OF MY OWN POCKET to send back his tires. LOL

inb4 blog post.

The Financial Times—the premier newspaper among decision makers and financial elite—suggests the best way to combat inflation is to impose a tax on companies for raising wages of employees

>For example, they might announce a baseline reference level of the growth of average hourly earnings over the next year of 3 per cent. They could then implement a tax whereby each firm who grants a wage increase above 3 per cent would be required to pay a 100 per cent tax on the excess.

>Concretely, if a firm awards a wage increase of 5 per cent, it would cost it 7 per cent as it would have to pay extra tax equivalent to the difference between the wage increase granted and the baseline reference level.

is this finally the economic dynamite to bring inflation down?

This is perfect thank you. I will use this as a metric for future interactions. If they won't take a reservation based on my status and wealth then that will be the place I target from outside. I can easily say "fuck your wealth" from a distance. Once again thank you for your contribution to this effort!

Part of me feels like the last bull run was cryptos first real exposure to the normie market and it flopped. Everything lined up perfectly. Cheap, zero interest venture capital money, stimmy checks, people bored sitting at home, etc. We had A list celebrities shilling it, Super Bowl ads, zoomer streamer sponsorship’s etc.
But instead of mass crypto adoption by the public we instead got a new rug pull every week, embarrassing collapses of many major crypto companies, Monkey JPEGs, and tons and tons of scams. Most normies I have talked to about crypto recently have a negative view on it, where as a few years ago most didn’t know anything about crypto or knew a little had a slight interest in learning more.

Another part of me knows there’s a new sucker born every minute and in 5-10 years it could get another shot at rugpulling the normie market again.
