Thanks for the insight and tips. I figured it wouldn't be the best of fields to be in, but I think I have a shot to at least make a decent wage from it -- it would get me out of human services for a bit, in any case.

From your experience in sales -- did it give you any skills or gateways into other fields? I ask because, in my area, I see many entry-level accounting and banking positions looking for some kind of sales experience.

I'd love to get into something like this, but all the postings for business-business and cross-selling postings in my area want prior sales experience. But what kind? Do I cut my teeth on some kind of consumer or retail sales with commissions and then get into B2B/B2G?

I'll be finishing my 4-year degree this august. But it's in lib arts -- although I have several classes in mathematics. Not sure if that counts against me or not; but I'll look into it regardless once I graduate.
