I want to mint coins in the near future, if anybody has tips on how to make it work I'd be glad to read them.

I have a few k worth of gold ingots and a milling machine on the way, I still need to get a torch and build a blank punching set, a project I will focus on in the next few weeks. My first goal is to make blanks that have a repetable weight, the minting part is not as important. I guess I'll give the chinks 50€ to get one of those cheap drum tumblers too so that they're shiny.

When I have blanks, I'll either be a cuck and purchase custom dies or find a way to engrave steel myself, and with the press I'll use to punch the blanks, I'll mint the first coins too.

My reasoning is that small coins with a small premium are
> liquid
> hard to contrefeit (if they're thin and worth less than $100, good contrefeits won't be worth it)
> good for normies who can't wait to have 1-5k and buy something with a low prenium
> look good like a medieval coin hoard vs small ingot worth 5k
> don't raise suspicions from IRS and the like, they're just collectibles
> I want to spread some kind of propaganda against the coming dystopia of hyperinflation and cashless society

I guess the only doubt I have is that in the end I'm throwing money at gear to turn gold into gold (I'll do silver too when I can get some ingots I can scrap without horrendeous preniums)

Picrel some crappy design ideas, I keep the more advanced ones until I have some real prototype to show. My theme is really the mark of the beast, and giving back to Caesar what is his (his debased denarii/paper money) to trade with sound currency. I'd love to do low-prenium, artisanal meme-rounds if there's demand in the future as well.
