What this anon says is actually pretty plausible and explains a lot. For instance, this explains why Vitalik is so butthurt about Chainlink: imagine making the best public blockchain available and having the door slammed in your face by an institution like SWIFT that instead goes with R3. Sergey is a constant reminder of that to Vitalik.
