MOASS is dead. DTCC won, and Ryan was forced to let them win.

The DTCC kept the actual split dividend shares, which were used to significantly close short positions that would've derailed the world's economy multiple times over (and likely ended the entire concept of the stock market in general.) They marked the designation as a "split" instead of their obligation to distribute the newly acquired shares, and instructed brokers to perform a split instead of a split via dividend. This is why the short interest went so far down after the split - and the shittiest part is that NO ONE is going to take the blame for it. The DTCC can essentially do whatever it wants - no entity is going to come down on them.

I'm personally still bullish on the future of the company. I think the NFT marketplace has a ridiculous amount of potential that normies haven't totally caught onto yet. However, if you've been paying attention today, you should realize that the dream of MOASS is beyond dead.

There will be no squeeze. The split dividend was shitcanned and it gave the DTCC a free out to help HFs close short positions. We'll probably see a massive price drop with the outstanding short positions closed as they are. MSM will declare GameStop dead, and will continue berating retail for falling for a "meme stock scam."

I wish it didn't go this way. This was the worst ending.
