When you look at the cycle of empires that ray dalio lays out, you see that the end of a superpower usually coincides with a manipulation of currency and the taking on of debt.
The US is at that stage right now, but it looks like the 4th industrial revolution is going to allow the extension of the cycle through CBDCs and tokenization.

When you listen to the Eric Schmidt talk at Smartcon, he talks a lot about tokenization and how revolutionary that it will be.
When they have the ability to tokenize assets, they're able to totally flip the script on the cycle of nations that usually ends with the world power succumbing to hyperinflation.
Now that they're able to switch to CBDCs and tokenize the spectrum of assets at their disposal, the financiers are able to maintain control of the population.
The US still enjoys a good position in the world when it comes to many things like military might, demographics, resources, and innovation.
If they're able to pull this off, we're looking at the 2nd coming of the Roman Empire that could last 500 years.
China is a hair away from collapse, and the europoors are totally dependent on trade with the middle east, russia and China for their survival, so there's not going to be anyone to disrupt the 4th industrial revolution being spearheaded by the US.
Barring a thermonuclear exchange, we're still barreling toward a globohomo cbdc controlled financial system, but at least we'll be rich enough for it to not matter to us.
