Right now I'm downloading all 16,000 tickers, plus some other stuff like commodity and forex and crypto prices to get a snapshot of the market. I realized it's actually trivial to grab a weekly copy of the screener, run some crude filters on it to get it down to about 3000 symbols, and then automate it (via scheduled tasks) to download symbols on saturday or sunday, then run my own desktop TA against it. The advantage of doing this is that I can brute force some things that TView won't let me, such as backtesting, once it's set up.

Blew through about $1,000 across 5 trades this week, so I need to dial it back and test the fuck out of things.

One of my ideas was to do a sector heatmap with actual fucking information on it. If I can see even the daily or weekly change without diving into every stock, I can see where the cash in/outflows are and build a thesis on that. Eg if I see a lot of money moving out of tech stocks, I can look into the macro and make a trade based around that.
I can also correlate assets so I don't double dip on risk, other stuff.
It's a lot of work, but no individual part is difficult. It just takes time and not being distracted
