>Honestly, I think Chainlink is one of the best-kept secrets in crypto in terms of how good of a business model they have. If you look at how much some of the L2s are paying Chainlink, it is a remarkable amount of money. It's well into the tens of millions a year. I've never talked to the Chainlink team about this. I've never verified those numbers on both sides, but some of the L2 founders I've spoken with say that they're paying Chainlink $20, $25, $30, $35 million a year because they need to get the apps and the products to come build on them. And if Chainlink isn't there, then the app is just going to choose somewhere else. So it's a pretty remarkable business that they've been able to build.

ChainlinkEcosystem looks bugged or out of date so I can't find the figure but there are +20 chains part of SCALE by now

Optimism, TRON, AVAX, HBAR... are part of SCALE. It means they're all PAYING Chainlink tens of millions to benefit from the "Chainlink Effect". It's why AVAX is successful, all the banking news it got were related to CCIP trials, ic3 ties. Other chains want that.

The "Chainlink Effect" is the combination of the legacy dapps like Aave refusing to port over to other chains if they don't support Chainlink, and the understanding that tradfi will only onboard Chainlink-enabled chains via CCIP.

There are also +100 projects that have joined BUILD and forked over 3-5% of their supply to Chainlink.
Protocols like GMX also paying 1% of their total revenues to Chainlink.
Lots of newer and smaller chains or L2s are also now using CCIP as their canonical bridge.
BTCdefi also reliant on CCIP. No one is paying attention to this but Solv (BTC staking) is now the biggest user of CCIP. CCIP is already a top 3 bridge by volume just based on that one user.

Once regulatory clarity happens, +100 shitcoins, GMX fees will be airdropped.

No one is talking about this. The "Hiding Strategy" that's going on with all this is I.N.S.A.N.E.
