yea its very easy to forget how powerful "sell in May and go away" truly is

especially for newbs, or traders who dont sell a thing before summer starts

it can also cause problems when people start getting back into the market after summer is over (see last september, for example)

volume can sometimes tell you much more about the future than any price movements can

part of why i avoid stop losses, they are just targets for big whales to hit, so that they can pick up your shares for cheap

a stoploss lasting only a day ill use, but leaving a stoploss overnight (or for weeks at a time) is bad discipline, and a great way to find unwanted surprises (especially from aftermarket price movements)
