Deep recession is highly likely because everything the Fed is doing shows that's what the Fed wants. They want it to crush BRICS, not inflation. It won't really work and will be more self-destructive than anything else, but it's a big game of chicken and the retards in charge don't know how to do anything but double-down. So, big recession coming to try to crush exporters and scare everybody back into the dollar system.

If you must buy bonds stick to the short end as they lack the long term inflation risk of the long end. In a downturn, TLT may actually be flat or sell off, on anticipation that the government will just print the money to pump the ponzi back up again. They need nominal gdp to be higher than the rates on those bonds long term, because of the federal debt level. This means bond holders get fucked and lose real purchasing power by design, aka financial repression.

The bond market has been reluctant to accept that this could happen because it hasn't happened before (bond bull history starts at 1970), but increasingly is starting to realize this is inevitable no matter how much the Fed postures that it isn't, because the US is broke and broke niggas can't pay a positive real rate on their IOUs. Hence the long end will continue to underperform relative to expectations.

Short end etfs like SHY should be safe. If you want to lever it to amplify moves in a downturn TUA is a levered 2-year etf.

Gold bullion will probably also be pretty safe, for the exact same reason long duration bonds are fucked: it's their competition. But if we get a big shitshow it can still slide a little and it won't pump much till they plug the printer back in. And it's always good to have a little.

Uranium and industrial metals and oil will all do very well long term, but have big recession risk over next 8 months.

The only thing I know for certain is: CPI is not gonna be 5% over the next 2 years, and inflation isn't sticky. Inflation was from money printing and that is done. Actually it's gone into reverse. Even if they fire the printer back up tomorrow, it will take a year and a half or so to even show up in CPI.

The bond market thinks inflation is going to persist based on mis-understandings of what happened in the 70s, and the bond market is wrong. I will make money because the bond market STILL refuses to accept the quantity theory of money.

The ones I'm looking at are in a sort of trailer park, but I get the impression you own the land too. On Zillow the ones for sale say the ownership type is "fee simple," which is a legal term only applied to real estate. Plus you have to pay property taxes on them.

Then again, how would the company that runs it make any money if they weren't charging lot rent?....
