I disagree.
The shills here in BBBYQ threads are of another caliber than those who used to be in the AMC threads. AMC is a nothingburger and there is nothing to talk about there. The shills for BBBY are persistent and obsessive enough that they literally read documents, read DD, and watch the PP show in order to spread their fud.
It's uncanny.
The fud is not surrounding just BBBY. I think they know there will be an opportunity when all of this CH11 gets sorted out there will be a windfall which may or may not have time to flood into GME. They are trying to get the sentiment down so people don't go sniffing out more short exposures.
We just haven't figured it out yet. The question becomes why are they here? Like you said, no one can buy or sell BBBY. Everyone has already basically been living with effective 100% loss since October. So what's the deal? Why so insistent in declaring the deal done when it is still very much going on in directions that have not yet been publicly disclosed?
Shills are still here because the play is still on.
Literal billions of shares were trading hands in January 2023 and I think lawsuits are taking place pertaining to the share count. Hence why they had to freeze the trading in BBBY. Because every single buy order was being offset by a naked short provided by Virtu Financial ever since it began to squeeze on Feb 6th when it ran up 125% in a single day. They literally had to turn on a "barcode" algorithm that began to not only offset buy orders, but literally pass shares back in forth at lower and lower price levels to force the price lower. Virtu was already bust on February 6th and they basically went "all in" when they decided they NEEDED to forcefully drag BBBY out of the capital markets so they could not orchestrate a turnaround.
This is low blatant and so egregious that it did not go unnoticed. All of the redacted documents are so because they basically confirm securities fraud to the criminalSEC.

Because if you set a bear trap and shorts were aggressively shorting into some "dilution" that never hit the market then you have basically created a squeeze scenario where you can settle all of your debts by plundering the shorts. Gamestop did this exact thing. All they have to do is buy up the debt pennies on the dollar and retire it and allow themselves to recoup all of the profits in the shares they have purchased. There are profitable subsidiaries owned by BBBYQ and you can create shareholder value through a spinoff. And as we all know Ryan Cohen appears to be a creditor who also specializes in online retailing. It is pretty obvious that he has a lot of respect for the shareholders and views them as dedicated customers who have already been great in supporting GME's turnaround. So what we have unfolding before us is RC looking to acquire the online retail capacity of Buy Buy Baby and spinning off the company to continue building his own brand. There company can recapitalize itself and pay back its debts by squeezing out the naked shorts and sell shares into the market during this process. We have no idea where all of those shares went and who they were sold to and who owns them. We also have proof that there are more shares at sneed and cede than exist so if allowed or forced to happen, we have another MOASS on our hands potentially. You don't need to pay back your debts with retained earnings when you can just slit the throats of naked short sellers.

I bet it gets forgiven because someone (RC) is very interested in the online retailing capacity of BBBY and would rather buy existing infrastructure than build up his own. He can also destroy the shorts and force them to vacate their systemic-naked-short position on GME.
