You fill out a W8-Ben. That document can be send via email to your broker. In fact all Euro brokers do it automatically for you with a checkmark at your registration.

It's a 5 minute thing.

It allows you to exempt from ALL capital gains taxes in the US. The only thing you pay is a 15% tax on dividends, that can deduced from the taxes you pay in your own country.

That said I have a really rich uncle owning multiple companies and earning millions.
That guy bought a 50€ fake watch in Thailand, in a good fake shop, and so far several watch connoisseurs, amazed by the "40k" watch, have complimented him on it. Thanks to modern production there really is not much difference apparently.
