Matthew Mellon wasn't Mellon the poster.

Matthew Mellon, heir to the Mellon banking fortune and former head of the New York State DNC finance committee, personal friend of John F Kennedy Jr. and Donald Trump, was one of the early high-profile investors in Ripple and gained some notoriety after making a cool billion off it in the 2017 bullrun.

He died under suspicious circumstances at at psychedelic therapy retreat in Mexico (on the premises of the clinic, before taking any drugs).

When I make a lot of money off XRP, one of the things i'm going to do is start a chain of addiction recovery centers which make use of entheogens to resolve the trauma that leads to addiction, depression and PTSD and prevents many people from living full and happy lives, and I will name at least one clinic after him.
