This is not medieval at all. This is what Americans think of because they've visited some dilapidated medieval castle once. All castles were owned and actively used by a lord. You think some rich fag is going to sit around in his wooden chair overlooking some gray fucking stones?
Castles were meant to be a defensive structure, yes. But they were also meant as a showpiece to other nobles. The walls of the upper floors, in fact all floors generally were handled much like modern homes. They used drywall over the stones to create a smooth white surface. Then they decorated and painted their rooms. Jesus christ this looks pathetic. You actually think you would kill a bear and lay its fur on the floor like that. Like what you're going to sit on the cold hard floor on that little fur thing and have a romantic night with your gf watching the fireplace? Fucking hell what a retarded fucking image I cannot.
Overkill example since it's baroque and not medieval but the example stands. This is what you would do. Tile the floor and sometimes use carpet for the entire thing, white drywall and paint or wall decorations. It would look warm, inviting, happy. Not this faux medieval style where every lord that owned it lived in actual poverty and had to eat a peasant every week to survive.
