You may be thinking what's this guy going on about, but to me it's important so I thought why not just share it and who knows, maybe it'll mean something to some others too.

I enjoyed 4chan back in the days, probably since about 2006, being a teenager and later in my early 20s. Before Reddit, before Digg even. I liked /b/ and later /a/ as well, watched them chinese cartoons not so much because I was even really into it--though I have fond memories of Angel Beats now that I think of it--but because the community was a home to me.

I was here in the days of boxxy, you done goofed, hating on mcr (though I liked them), moot posting pics of him in his princess outfit, swat teams showing up at peoples homes, and calling Gamestop asking for BattleToads. Of course back then I didn't know it was Gamestop that would have me return home all these years later.

Basically, I left the basement, grew up, got a job, married (real 3d wife), got a beautiful daughter and another one on the way. Even got religious--actually played a large part in all that btw--and I just generally found happiness.

Anyway, years later here I am on wsb, my now favorite online community. Pretty much all of the rest of reddit is a pool of excruciating politics mixed with censorship of anything that the admins feel wouldn't maximize their ipo value. I buy 15 shares of GME at 50 usd, thinking this is going to be just another fun bet on the side, 2 weeks later the board's left unrecognizable, overrun by literally 8 million people offended when called retarded. Now we're fighting some lame hippie war against hedge funds, and you win--supposedly--by being a bagholder.

The gains were a nice bonus, I sold at 330, but I'd gladly return them + extra if I got the community back. No way for that to happen though, it's gone.

So then I read about /biz/, after all these years, I guess I found a new home. Or rather, found my way back to what's always been home. Hope you'll take me back.

Now holding psth btw.
