Ok so greendot is GREAT if you spend a lot of money on your debit card, but if you don't then it's not really a worthwhile investment I think, since the cards charge you a fee if you dont spend the money fast enough.

Guess 8 bucks isn't BAD but it isn't great either. Maybe if my new leasing company doesnt charge me extra to pay on debit I can make it worthwhile, but I guess I'll have to see. Curious what this "have to have account open for a year" fine print is though. So no cashback for a year, or does it just "hold it" until a year later?

Damn that's a lot more than I thought. I'm still gonna keep a strategy of DCA into it I think, but might decrease how much I invest into it at that point.
