Got this $34.13 item delivered yesterday and cleaned up this morning, it's antique continental sterling which I think used to be an oil lamp later converted to incandescent. 7" tall silver portion so I knew their claim of .92oz was an error and they either meant 9.2oz or .92 lb. It was the latter, and after removing the nonprecious hardware it weighs 230 grams, working out to $4.99 per troy ounce of pure silver. I think I'll keep it and try soldering a little plate of silver over the hole in the base and finding a suitable burner/wick holder to turn it back into an oil/kerosene lamp, I haven't seen a piece like this before so preserving it is preferable to refining. Good luck hunting down the cheapies anons.
