What's different this time is that the population is shrinking, not growing. We have a shrinking number of people in the future that will be reaching for slices of the pie. So even at -2% things aren't too bad off.

As also posted in the thread. The problem with the money supply is that liquidity is too low, with near zero interest rates. This is caused by prices being far too high for how low wages are.
