I used to check coinmarketcap, but i have noticed they are inaccurate as hell. they dont give a ... if they count double of the real trade volume (for ex: if 1 change 1 btc to 8k usd, some exchange think its 16k volume, bc the exchanged value is 16k). I found a project who built up a catcher technique and they are scraping the trade data from the frontend and api and they have several methods to provide real numbers. I checked some exchange and its hella accurate. So my startup page is now cryptocurrency.org instead of cmc

I've been saying for weeks that, if we are returning to mean, that's going to be around the $6000-$6500 mark, which is where the mean trend line of 2017 points at.

What we should be hoping to see around this point is a reversal, which looks as if it's already happening.

If it drops significantly further from here, then we're probably fucked (at least in terms of future growth rate). But if we bounce from this point and form solid support, it's likely we have returned to mean and the worst of it is over.

After such a huge bull market over the past couple of weeks, we were due a quiet period and some corrections. It would have been more weird and more concerning if it didn't happen.

Rough patches like this have happened before, multiple times. Even over multiple days.

This is just the beginning for crypto. Yes, almost everyone knows about it. But how many people actually buy and sell it? Coinbase, by far the biggest entry/exit point from cash to crypto, only has 13m users. That's 0.3% of the world's adult population, give or take.

Binance, now the biggest exchange in the world by volume, has 5 million users. That's 0.1% of the world's adult population.

For only 1 out of every 100 adults on earth to buy/sell cryptocurrency, the "community" would have to be x7-x10 bigger than it is right now.

Fresh money will flow in. More than has ever flowed in before. With every bear run comes a bull run, bringing media attention and attracting surges of new people keen to buy.

Right now, crypto is still niche beyond measure. Word has spread, but the true uptake has yet to begin.

We're only just getting started, dear anons. There will be more bull runs, more bear runs, more moons, more crashes. But the best has yet to come, and I truly believe it has a good few years to run yet.

Hello guys

I will be doing a crypto presentation in 14 days in my economics classroom (everybody will be 20-25y/o). I won't talk that much about exactly which coin mooned but I will explain blockchain, mining and other normie-level technologies. I'm trying to build statistics on who is in crypto and how much they hold. I can't do averaging because the spread is huge in this market, so my statistics will be presented as "Class population" and the people in each class will make it lower on higher depending on the number of people in each class. tl:dr, I will do some histograms.

I'm gonna put those surveys in plebbit/fb crypto groups/trollboxes/forums, and of course here. Each of these places will have histograms and they will be compared. I will make all the results public after my presentation to avoid fighting between websites (we know reddit can LARP a lot, maybe more than here).
