The difference between redditt and 4chan (and why we can spot them so easily) is because reditt is for individualists (egotists) and 4chan is for collectivists (hiveminds). It's why Reddit is so much more popular that 4chan, but why 4chan content is higher on either sides of the bell curve. Reddit will give you middle of the road content, and 4chan will simultaneously give you the best and the worst content on the internet.
