The new update is out, literal useless dogshit. Zero progress being made anywhere. No network usage, no use cases, no roadmap. Pile of shit.

All the other college kids pay her using Venmo as well. Fuck you /biz/. The transactions on Venmo are feeless and they transfer real money, not magic internet coins. Why did I buy REQ.

I put two grand in at 22 cents. The current 20 million dollar marketcap is completely unwarranted, the token only has value insofar as the network is used. Nobody is or will ever use the network. It’s completely over, my money is gone. Fuck you /biz/.

Why did you shill me this shit.
We are here to make money
This doesn't make money, easy as that. What makes you believe this coin will gain substantially when mainnet is active and not used currently.

Other projects become more powerful? It’s not a zero sum game with Request, for example, when something like Stellar starts getting central banks to issue tokens on their network, REQ can integrate that into its platform and now you’ll have a paypal like service that can send millions of dollars in tokens that are backed by real fiat in seconds and with almost no fee.

Request is almost too powerful...

>buy 30k REQ
>starts to mini pump before main net
>am happy
>starts dumping with rest of market in days before
>whatever, main net will bring pump
>main net arrives
>dumps more

>check my wallet
>notice that my tokens have started to burn

what the fuck is this bullshit. I can understand burning if it causes the price to rise, but instead the price is dumping more. this is absolute bullshit.

Does somebody have to request a payment BEFORE you can send them money? So if I want to donate money to a streamer, they’d have to request it from me first? LOL. That is so fucking stupid and dogshit, that makes the request network literally unusable for things like e commerce stores or donations. Wow, just wow.

If you don't have a substantial proportion of your portfolio in this right now

-announced partnership with worlds largest accountancy firm, still hasn't had a real pump due to BTC dump
-mainnet incoming in days (and no, coins don't "dump" after they become an actual usable project

Seriously, consider that this is $150 mil market cap while TRON is $2.5 bill despite not being in testnet and not having a working product.

So Request is built on top of Ethereum right. Does this mean for every transaction there will not only be a REQ fee, but also an ETH fee?
If so, this means they have 'squeezed' a token into a business model that didn't really fit, which will make the whole project much less likely to succeed as it adds unnecessary complexity. Can somebody confirm?

Vitalik mentions 'squeezing a token' into a business model at 3:45, this is what got me thinking about REQ

What is Request Network?

Request Network is a decentralised financial platform. It allows anybody, anywhere to build upon it to develop Dapps and services.

Why should you care?

>Pay with Request Project
There will be a 'Pay with Request' button which online retailers will be able to implement on their website (similar to Pay with PayPal) which will allow them to receive payment in any currency of their choice. They can accept payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, any ERC20 shitcoin and they will receive Dollars, Euros, Pounds whatever they choose. Everything is handled automatically on the backend of the Request Network and their REQ token is the fuel for the whole platform. You will be able to buy every day goods with your shitcoins.

>Audit and Accounting
Request will be a unique source of data for accounting and auditing services. Transactions will be saved on an immutable, authentic ledger, which acts as a unique source of truth for accounting and auditing processes. Using Smart Audit algorithms, which replaces a part of Deloitte, PWC, E&Y, the majority of auditing and accounting servies will be automated and seamless, saving companies billions, and possibly trillions over many many years.

Main net releasing in the next few days. This project is your chance, get in or prepare to KYS in the years to come watching the network grow from the sidelines. #1 project built on Ethereum.

REQ is running out of legitimate competitors.

Bitpay started banning people for explicit goods,

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitpay-payment-processor-begins-enforcing-ban-on-prohibited-activities-on-its-platform

Coinbase Commerce -- Already understaffed in terms of support, a shitload of negative press about them lately with that multi-charge incident.

What else is there for paying for things easily directly with crypto? REQ is going to be the first one to easily allow this, people paying whatever the fuck they want for whatever services they want, with no way for them to be shut down. I'm so goddamn bullish.
