I can explain AI to you. First of all its LLM not AI. All it does it predict the next token using probability and large data sets. If you feed it all written english knowledge and people follow the word “fungus” with “amongus” 70% of the time, then it knows that its a good guess when prompted “fungus”. Thats all its doing, trying to predict the next token. It is not intelligent. This tech may be a dead end that never leads to AGI. Or maybe it will be a component, like a specific region of the brain. It may be decades or even centuries before we unlock the next part of the digital brain. Or maybe tomorrow. I cannot predict that token. But realistically LLMs are not AGI and will never be AGI. Hell of a neat tool though, LLMs will have immense economic benefits regardless
