a sort of shitty below average state school in Pennsylvania for accounting and for CPA because it was inexpensive and I knew what I was capable of and didn't want to ride on prestige of something other than my own, already knew finance and had money before I attended

go for a two pronged approach by getting an education formally and doing your own self-education readings texts and investing(after you have money, not when you don't have any you stupid wannabe). Read books every day. One thing that I have noticed is that people who I find intelligent read books, while people who are dumb seem to never read. It's an easy and enjoyable thing to do. I guarantee that at least 75% of this board hasn't read a single book in at least the last month, let alone the last year.
