Not really, it can be a net good no matter which way a stock could go but this requires a decent amount of work to set it up accordingly.
Now the odds are in your favor since most options go worthless, which is good for (you), however if it's American style options do be prepared for assignment risk. Although sometimes assignment isn't a bad thing if you like the stock.

That in mind what I would recommend is spamming spreads on something easy to manage like SPX, gives you some experience with options selling with limited risk, and since index options are Euro style there's no pin risk, no early assignment, etc.....
