One was a fintech startup. Used some novel algorithms. We were kinda seeing to start our own hedge fund. Our ceo had 11/10 charisma and things looked up. I was the dev. However he had inflated our capabilities to the point where we Ultimately just had a mild mvp i.e. vaporware. It all didn't matter. Also, our idiot finance bro ceo was pivoting from banking to cybersecurity. He thought our forecasting model could detect cybersecurity threats before they appeared. The fool. I got falsely accused of stealing company IP and had an investigation against. Came out as unfounded. Kinda glad I got out because that shit still exists and they 're trying to get money by suing companies.

Second one was a less grandiose and more attainable SAAS startup. I developed the MVP. But the ceo from this new one was also an idiot who mismanaged what funds we got on stupid shit. I don't think he took the startup seriously at all. Anyways he terminated me because he was 'disbanding' the company while still keeping some snot nosed intern employed. Didn't care, I half checked a while before that.

Don't really regret any of it desu. The above failures all happened within a span of 3 years. They were side hustles while I still had a 9-5. Not really a net loss per say. Definitely gave me a lot to think about in regards to myself moving forward.
Next time I do startup shit, I'll be the one incharge.
