These are scary times, we are in uncharted territory with Bitcoin. However, each time you TA'rs try to predict the next "correction," you fail. This is because crypto is based on hype and news. Bitcoin is everywhere on social media -- I'm seeing it discussed on LinkedIn, constant Reddit posts, on Facebook, etc. It's everywhere. This is where Ethereum was in April and May, with its price hysteria. We are currently in a mania phase, and if you're smart, you'll know how to play the game.

Let's consider these questions:

1. Are there any psychological barriers? No, not until 10k.

2. Is there a clear timetable for the future? Yes, the fork will take place on Nov 15/16th.

3. Is there a reason for most people to sell before this fork? No, because Bitcoin2x will have replay value on GDAX/Coinbase for two weeks and therefore will effectively be "free money."

The main hurdle for Bitcoin was going from $10 to $100, or $1000 to $5000. It then had to establish itself. But we're at $7,100 right now. Bitcoin has established itself -- it's even going on the futures market alongside gold and oil with CME. Everyone knows $10k, $20k, even $25k is inevitable at this point so there is extreme buy pressure.

The correction is not happening before the fork, if anything, this momentum might stall. Or it might pick up, but it will not crash until the fork. All I know is... hold your bitcoins. You have been warned.

All you idiots with TA analysis don't understand this isn't a boomer market where your shitty predictive models even remotely work.

The crypto market is driven by hype and has a low attention span. Bitcoin is the hype right now. Now ask yourself these questions:

1. Are there psychological barriers? No, not until 10k.

2. What is coming up? The fork, and the precedent for the last two forks has been moon. This one is no different. People want free 2x. With no psychological barriers, this will be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

3. How do people value bitcoin? Is it overvalued? No, the main hurdle was when Bitcoin went to $100, or to $1000, or even past $5000. Now we're at $6300. Everyone knows Bitcoin is going to 10k, 20k, even 50k. The jump from $100 to $1000 was much harder than the jump from $6000 to $150000 is going to be. It's only a matter of time. Therefore, there is increased buy pressure to make this happen and low sell pressure.

4. Normie interest from literally everywhere. I see blockchain spammed on LinkedIn, Bitcoin mentioned on Facebook, Reddit is spamming it. Bitcoin is now what Ethereum was in March.

5. Now that Bitcoin is so massive, it cannot correct to extreme levels like it did. If you noticed, when it dropped to 3k, it immediately bounced back violently. And the only reason it crashed was because of the Chinese news. The value has been established and the only dip you'll see is maybe -10% or so, as it was when it hit 6k the first time and fell to $5200. The only thing that could cause BTC to truly crash is not some TA-inspired bullshit "correction" but actual bad news. Because this market is driven by news and hype.

Now, you could push against the tide and keep ignoring it, and then FOMO in at 10k, lose 80% of your alt value, or you could actually use your brain. Personally, I bought in at $5800.

BTC fork happens on the 25th which is in 5 days, this being the last weekend. Prices may or may not plummet further tomorrow. But if you have money, buy now and tomorrow. If you don't, just relax. All that FOMO bitcoin money will soon flow into alts like it did after the last fork.

As for the LINK folks, I just bought another 1000 LINK at 25 cents. The team has been active on slack and have said that the SIBOS conference went better than expected -- they received a standing ovation, and more interest and connections than they expected. They also said they will be more active, and communicate more, now that the main hurdle of the conference is over.

So hang tight and chill out. You're gonna make it. If you're confidence is so easily swayed by market conditions, when Chainlink, a years-in-the-making project, is only growing stronger, you're being irrational. I remember the last Bitcoin fork, my antshares were thousands in the negative. So glad I held and bought more despite my losses.

What are good long term hodls (1-5 years down the road) and more importantly why? Im still researching and learning but it sounds like BTC and LTC, maybe ETH or Monero would reap good benefits? Basically i want to throw one of my paychecks in a few coins and get /comfy/ for the longterm.
