I don't trust money market funds but as long as you don't panic sell if it "breaks the buck" your probably fine. Well except it's not FDIC insured. To be fair treasuries can also lose money if the gov defaults... I don't think that would last more than a few days at most though.

Selling/writing options strikes me as only worth it for the big guys. It's picking up pennies in front of a steamroller and if your wrong you either lost everything (selling puts) or missed out on huge gains (selling calls). Meanwhile with buying options, yeah most of the time your contract will expire worthless, but if you win you win you can 10x, 100x your initial investment.

With regards to NVDA. If I were to do anything with options with that stock it would be put options for sure. But I'm not really an options guy.

>t-the Fed will pivoot in two more weeks! trust the plan!!
yeah here's the thing. if yields continue to go up. then duration means price goes down big. and if you are locked up in long-duration treasuries... then you have to wait until AFTER the fed lowers rates to poomp eet. instead of being able to get prime cheapies with cold hard cash redeemed from short-duration treasuries held to maturity. Also in general, if you need cash for unrelated reasons - it's a lot less locked up with short duration.

>probably want some bullets too
if you are doomermaxxing you shouldn't even be in the stock market at all

I'm with you. Oil & food might be stabilizing for now but the real elephant in the room is Core CPI which has been going like a freighttrain since the beginning. Everyone thinks inflation is over but It Is Just Getting Started.

not so fast. the debt ceil bill has not passed yet. and even if it does... the underlying structural weaknesses that resulted in the need for mass money printing followed by rape hikes have not subsided....

If you intend to hold for 20 years or more it is never a stupid time to start buying *broad market* ETFs. But.. you will need to avoid the temptation to sell... think of it this way, if you opened your port and saw -70%, would you be able to hold? to buy more? if you answered no to both, maybe the stock market's not for you, OR you should get a financial advisor who will talk you out of panic selling during market crashes.

>there’s nothing preventing you from always shuffling and revealing the top card
Nope, that's intentional and is the reason I specifically say to shuffle before the reveal, the reveal is supposed to always happen. I figured for 10 life, you don't want it to just do nothing if your sideboard's empty.
