I was at my happiest when I was unemployed, living in my parents basement and playing video games 18 hours a day

Getting a job and buying useless shit has caused a gradual decline in my quality of life unironically.

I'm almost at a million dollars networth and I just dont even fucking care about money or my job or my 500hp sports car or my big house thats made out of drywall.

I just want to sleep until 2pm and play video games all day like I did as a teenager, growing up and adulting is a scam perpetuated by parasitic women and corporate benefactors.

>You definitely know better than all the corps with an army of people

let me ask you, have you used VR? Have you tried the metaverse? Did you dabble in VR chat years ago and tried it again recently now that it's just become a honey pot for child predators and autistic trans kids? These companies are chasing something that peaked in the 2000s. Minecraft and Roblox are proof that the type of creative online ecosystems can still thrive, but VR is stupid and cumbersome. But maybe people will still buy a $300 apple headset then never use it

Hi everyone,

Leaf here, I just learned that there is a "Witholding tax" on my U.S dividend paying stocks, and its eating up 25% of my dividend payments. I'm investing using a TFSA so I'm not subject to capital gains tax on the Canadian side, I suppose the US does not recognize that and just take their portion? Is it possible to file a tax return on the US to reclaim some portion of the withholding tax?

Any dividend chads in the thread tonight? Please pass some knowledge my way, thanks.

I'm getting negative vibes. My chakra channels tell me the market is going to be significantly lower in the not-too-distant future. This is not a buy and forget environment.

See you on the other side.

Think of them a digital concert ticket, in the form of a volatile wrapper for ETH, that tags your wallet.

You'll have to track the space to see which NFT's will hold value, and for how long.
I'm not saying it's not gambling.

Alright emotions are high, and its very clear that there is a divisive opinion on the stock market.

I can agree with the bull case that inflation is slowing and the Fed Pivot™ is coming, SPY is down 17% from ATH's, there is seller exhaustion and capitulation going on.

But I also think that the months of high rates will undoubtedly have a significant impact on many markets in the coming future, and the decade high of low low interest rates inflated the market to disproportionate levels beyond what would ever have been considered normal in the past.

Interest rates are not 0.25% anymore, evaluations need to change. I personally suspect that we will continue in a downward seesaw pattern until SPY reaches 320 to test the pre-covid all time high, and even then that might not be the floor.

I own a bit over 1 BTC in a cold'ish wallet and a comparable amount in gold,
but I like BTC much more since I don't have to protect it and can convert it to a stablecoin within 20 minutes.

Did my weekly investments and I have a little extra ETH to convert to another coin, and I'm choosing to invest in the next supposed ETH killer.
AVAX vs DOT, vs ADA etc. I'm leaning heavily on DOT so far.

I don't actually believe ETH will be replaced, even less do I understand how anything could "kill" Ethereum. I'm assuming people will just use another token in the exact same way ETH is used but it'll be faster and cheaper, but there's probably more to it. As for how they can assure this speed and cheapness i know even less.

So what's the next bag to hold here? Who's really gonna be alongside ETH as the new Internet's fuel?

How do I get the confidence to take out some profits without the overwhelming anxiety that BTC won’t shoot up to 75k or GRT go to $8+?

I held everything for the 2017/18 crash and watched my whole portfolio shrink to virtually nothing.

Is now a good time to take a small profit? Or still too early?

According to my analysis the BULL/BEAR dichotomy is a false one.

You can be both.

"I haven’t even told my wife the amount of money I’ve “lost”. I haven’t sold yet. I’m still holding out because I feel selling is admitting defeat and I’m holding out for a small sliver of hope. But I took half of our life savings and lost it all. 23 shares at about 283 avg. I feel so much guilt because she’s picked up a second job and I’ve been working more hours - just to build a good safety net during these COVID times. And I blew half our life savings in a matter of hours."
