well.... I think its going to zero?
the dilemma of all PoW blockchains is that the network needs constant work input in the form of massive amounts of electricity and hashing power in order to keep the network secure and usable - someone has to pay for that
in the case of bitcoin funding is provided through 900btc inflation per day and 100btc tx fees per day, so 90% inflation and 10% tx fee
as time goes on the burden of financing the network will shift more and more to tx fees, problem is that bitcoin only can handle 7 transactions per second...
the network currently uses between 130TWh and 444TWh per year, using Chinese subsidized coal power at $0.084/kWh that's anywhere between $10,920,000,000 and $37,296,000,000 per year just in electricity costs... or $49-$168 per tx just in electricity costs - add cost of ASICs, locale and personell and you're easily at $100-$200 per tx, and that's just at $48,000, as the value of bitcoin grows the network needs more funding to stave off would-be attackers as the incentive to attack grows with the price
who's going to pay for these ridiculous fees to keep the network safe? and if there is ever a slump in transactions the network will become underfunded, hash rate will drop and it will become susceptible to attacks
furthermore Bitcoin can never be used as a currency, or even as a reserve currency since it can only handle 7tps, meaning something else will always have to act as currency for btc
if everyone on the planet tried to make just 1 transaction with btc it would take over 34 years...
and no, L2 'solutions' like the lightning network don't work for a thousand different reasons that I can't fit into a 2000 limit post

Sweden, maybe put AB on ISK account with 0% tax on dividends but a small tax on total capital and Berkshire on regular account with 30% tax dividends and sale

don't know man
I bought .25 btc back in 2016 after watching a speech that presented it as some kind of online digital cash gold
one year later I did my on research and realized that it's fully traceable and records everything you do, transactions can literally take months (back in 2017 they took weeks) if the mempool gets clogged, hard cap is a meme that will lead to death of miners and an unsecure network, etc, etc
despite all of this btc is still viewed as the 'new gold' by literally a fuck ton of people with a lot of money to spend
this irrationality could continue for many years and it just makes me fucking angry and sad to see gold/silver struggle while crypto goes to fucking Pluto

Why did I even think for a nanosecond that this dead in the water shit could ever break $1k.

Pulled out yesterday with 10% (ten percent) profit, was up over 500%. I guess I deserve it. Someone suckerpunch some reality into me please.
