It’s an interesting question. I haven’t been follow how well that’s been working out there. Even in El Salvador I’d probably avoid shitcoin as much as possible. Shit coin is just not fungible. Period. Nowhere in the world is it fungible or really truly private unless you take a bunch of extra steps and even then it’s still an open public ledger where all wallet addresses and balances are easily seeable. It’s probably functioning there exactly like CBDC’s will work. Maybe it’s the testing ground for implementing CBDC and shitcoin is gonna be the prototype.
