Did anyone else learn about manipulation of price through runescape?

I used to make money by controlling an obscure item. at one point i'd buy up every pair of red monk robes possible for weeks, lower each time till it was 60-70% cheaper. my bids were for hundreds of robes at a time.
Then i'd offload them at higher and higher prices till it was +100% of starting price. where i would sell the majority of them.

BTC literally works like this, and alts work even more like this. I wish i had put the two and two together to relaise people were doing it sooner. fuck.
