Anyone have experience in these fields? Currently I’m a wagie OTR trucker but everyone wants their own rig eventually. Was looking into some shit about dump truck businesses, seems lucrative but it looks like dump trucks cost a whole lot more than traditional sleeper semis.

Any fellow truckers on tonight? What companies are treating you alright and which ones are treating you like shit? How are the OOs doing out there? Any recs for local gigs? (Got a daughter on the way, looking to go local) Currently taking my 10 outside the DC waiting for a morning pickup, just wanna shoot the shit.

I get a guaranteed weekly minimum of 1300$ and I’ve barely worked a full week since then, netting ~1100$ a week. My last day of actual work was 9 days ago and I’m still bringing home my weekly guarantee. Also scammed Amazon for 3 weeks of covid leave along with some bereavement days when I worked there

Just got my CDL edition. Is going over the road worth it? I almost like the idea of it, but I heard it doesn’t really pay like it used to. There’s some pretty good local gigs around me and I can only really find OTR jobs at mega carriers like JB hunt and swift (which I’ve been told to stay away from)
